Upload Your Files
The File Manager will look something like this:
On the left-hand side, click on the folder labeled public_html.
Then click on the Upload button at the top of the page.
The next page will give a box where you can Drag’n’Drop your file(s) onto the web page. It looks like this:
index.html
Make sure your filename for your main landing page is called index.html. Please rename it before proceeding.
Drag your webpage files (the index.html file, the css file and any other relevant folders, images, etc.) from a Finder/Explorer window onto the page. The 4GH page will handle multiple uploads nicely.
Once it’s done, you should see your files in the File Manager window, and be able to access yoursubdomain.html5004gh.com to test (with whatever actual subdomain you used when signing up, instead of yoursubdomain).
Note: For the website to work, you must see the index.html file directly inside the File Manager, and not within another subdirectory in the File Manager.
Congrats! Time to Share?
Congratulations! You can now share your html5004gh.com URL with friends and family, or the world. Feel free to tweet about the link with #HTML500.
The next section contains some stretch goals for you to complete if you’d like. Feel free to re-upload any modified/new files that you create in the future to the File Manager.
