Resources all BC tech professionals should know

The HTML500, North America’s largest learn-to-code event, is back in 2015 and BCIC is a proud founding partner. It’s a great time to be a programmer in British Columbia… The average annual salary of technology workers is at a new high of $75,000, which is far above the BC average of $45,000; the demand for skilled talent is on the rise!

Can This Old Dog Learn New Tricks?

Participating in rather than just observing the largest open access education event in the history of Vancouver, was an amazing personal experience. Thanks to the team at Lighthouse Labs, a small army of volunteers, a great ensemble of developer teaching assistants, and an impressive group of committed industry partners, it proved to be a most rewarding day.
